About ExoticCar.Loans
ExoticCar.Loans is an independent information site about financing exotic, classic and collector cars. It is not a lender or a broker, and it doesn’t make credit decisions. It exists because the people buying these cars, from dealers, private sellers and auctions, get little useful help from mainstream auto-loan content, which assumes a new commuter car and a bank that will lend on it.
How the research is done
Lender terms come from each lender’s own published pages: its rate examples, FAQ and program descriptions. We record what the page says, the date we read it, and nothing more. If a lender doesn’t publish a rate, a term or a down payment, we say so and leave it blank. We don’t fill gaps with estimates, and we don’t state anything we could only find in a search snippet or a third-party summary.
Depreciation figures come from named, dated sources, and each row on the depreciation table says whether it comes from observed sales or a modeled estimate. Government rules, such as the gas guzzler tax and state antique-plate limits, link to the statute or the agency’s own page.
Every worked example in the guides shows its full assumptions and its arithmetic, so you can check it. The calculator uses the same formulas as the examples.
We re-read sources when they change and update the date on the page. Lender terms move, so the lender’s current disclosure always controls over anything here.
How the site earns money
Today it doesn’t. We don’t take payment from the lenders, brokers or providers listed here, there are no paid or affiliate links, and we don’t rank lenders or call any of them the best. If you send us your numbers, a person reads them and replies by email, and nothing is passed to a lender or dealer. If that ever changes, the disclosures and the privacy policy will say so first, and the form will ask for your consent before anything is shared.
Corrections
If something here is wrong or out of date, use the contact form with the page and, if you can, the source. We check it against the primary source and fix it.
